Crossing The Rubicon delves into the idea of stability within relationships, working through that concept in relation to the choreography has allowed for a diverse repertoire of movement. Relationships are fragile, we are constantly involved in them and they require the ability to learn, grow and change as time goes by. Our relationships can be weathered by our decisions and the point of no return is not often in our foresight until it's to late.

A lifetime battle for another existence, accepting who you are in this present state is in many instances easier than the effort to move forward. Is accepting who you are in this present moment easier than risking everything for the chance to be someone, something more? Moving on does not so much help you obtain strength, but rather, empowerment.

As we worked with theatrical ideas through contemporary dance, we paradoxically found both restraint and ease in the choreography without venturing over to the contemporary cliché of minimalism. While the audience feels they are watching a slow unfolding sequence, they also feel a constant pressure being built up around them.

A reflection of our internal selves. There are moments in our lives where we either make the most of a situation or let it go by, missing the chance to allow ourselves to grow. Whether we're aware of it or not while it’s happening, these are the moments that make us who we are.

We all have a desire to abandon ourselves, whether or not through religion, substance abuse or self-destruction. People are always looking for an escape from reality. It is part of human nature to want to feel something other than the banality of our own existence. Euphoria, paranoia, ease, hunger, recklessness, elation, inspiration, vibration, transformation.
